Chapter 1- Discussing Questions
1. What qualities separate the photographer from the photojournalist? -A photographer is an artist who captures beauty. A photojournalist use that art in order to tell an story.
2. In what sense are the camera and microphone "writing and reporting instruments?" - Camera and microphone are used as writing or reporting instruments when they are used as a recorder of some sort.
3. Why can the edit console fairly be called a "rewrite" machine?- The edit console can be used a an rewrite machine because it's like starting all over from scratch, and putting things or making the picture better than what it was.
4. How does the nature of a television news report differ from a newspaper story? - The nature of television gives you a visual of the story. Makes you feel as do you're involve in what's going on. The newspaper can be kind of dull but actually can be a better source due to all the information, and stories having there own article.
